In response to the worst wildfire season in Colorado history, The
Western Union Company (NYSE: WU) today announced an expansion in
disaster-aid efforts to support the communities in Colorado impacted by
the fires.
Western Union is enabling Colorado residents to give to the Colorado
Fire Relief Fund 2012 as part of a “no transfer fee” program using
Western Union® Quick Collect® service at King
Soopers, City Market, Safeway and any other Western Union Agent
locations across the state. The Western Union Foundation will match
consumer contributions up to $50,000. Consumers need to complete the
blue form, using “COLORADO WILDFIRE DONATIONS” as the Pay To recipient,
and “WILDFIRE, CO” as the Code City and State. This consumer giving
option will be available through Saturday, August 4, 2012.
Western Union previously announced that The Western Union Foundation
committed to matching designated employee contributions up to $50,000 to
benefit the Colorado Fire Relief Fund 2012 to maximize employee giving
