Money Transfer Service Connects Consumers to More Than 364,000 Western Union(R) Agent Locations Worldwide
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Mar 31, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Western Union Company (NYSE: WU) and Giant Eagle, Inc. today announced an agreement that will bring Western Union Money Transfer(R) services to Giant Eagle(R) customers in more than 260 of the retailer's locations across western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.
Western Union(R) services will be available at participating Giant Eagle, Market District(R), Giant Eagle Express(R), and GetGo(R) Agent locations starting April 1, 2010. All participating stores will offer Western Union(R) Money OrderSM payment instruments and many locations will allow consumers to send their bill payments using the Western Union Convenience Pay(R) service, all while grocery shopping.
